If you are like me, you purchase Christmas presents all throughout the year. It eases the stress of gift-giving during the holiday season. Translations of ancient commentaries on the Book of Revelation make wonderful presents for your friends, relatives, teachers, pastors, or yourself. Writings on the Apocalypse by Cassiodorus and Gregory the Great (Volume 144 of Fathers of the Church series) or the Commentary on the Apocalypse that circulated in the name of Cyril of Alexandria could be just what they wanted. Or perhaps they would enjoy The Day and the Hour, which lists prophecies about the end of the world, year by year from the first century up to now, but which never came to pass (all showing that Christ’s words were true when he said that no one knows the day or hour of his coming). That book went out of print, but was recently reprinted with a new cover. Links to these three books can be found on this website, and they can easily be found on Amazon.
As for updates on publications, I recently submitted for publication an edition and translation of An Anonymous Irish Gloss on the Apocalypse from about the year 700. I shall post more about it when it becomes available. Also, several articles and essays on very interesting topics have already been sent in and are awaiting publication. For more details on these, click the “Forthcoming” link on this website.
I hope that you had a relaxing and productive summer, and that your autumn will be blessed with wonderful things from the hand of our God and Savior.
Sincerely,
Frank
